April Schlusser, a veteran of three NCAA Cross Country Championships races and four NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship meets with the Raiders, remains with her alma mater as a student assistant coach for both SU teams in 2015. Â

As a junior in 2013, Schlusser was SU’s No. 1 runner at the NCAA Championships and No. 4 runner at the NCAA Atlantic Region Championships. In her 2011 freshman season, Schlusser was the No. 5 runner at nationals for an SU squad that placed ninth overall after winning both PSAC and Atlantic Region titles.

In track & field, Schlusser was a 6-time PSAC place-winner with SU relays – winning two conference championships by running on SU’s 4x800-meter squads during the 2015 indoor and outdoor seasons. Schlusser also had a hand in three other PSAC place-winning 4x8 relays, earning All-PSAC honors for a third-place finish as a sophomore in 2013, in addition to an indoor turn on a distance medley relay. Â

A native of Carlisle, Schlusser earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing with a minor in psychology from Shippensburg in May 2015. She is currently seeking her MBA at Shippensburg.Â
