Biography
Chambersburg Area Senior High School: Elbel amassed eight varsity letters with the Trojans under coach Chris Monheim. She is a three-time District III medalist – including fourth and fifth-place turns with the 4x800-meter relay and a seventh-place finish in the 800 meters as a sophomore. Elbel placed third in the 800 at the 2010 Mid-Penn Conference Championships and, one year later, finished in second place with the 4x800-meter relay team. In her career, Elbel was a two-time state qualifier in cross country. She also competed in the 400 and 1,600 meters on the track as well as the 5K.
Personal: Rebekah Marie Elbel is the daughter of Edward and Angela Elbel. Her major is undeclared. Elbel Collins has a brother, Colton.
