2013 (Freshman): Farrell debuted in four races for the Raiders as a cross country runner, competing twice at both 4K and 6K. She set her 6K personal best in the open race at the Paul Short Invitational and her 4K PR in the Piper Alumni Open on the home course. On the track, Farrell contributed to both of SU’s 4x800-meter relay place-winning performances at the conference championships – finishing fourth outdoors and sixth indoors. She was also a PSAC indoor qualifier in the open 800 meters.
Downingtown West High School: Farrell earned five varsity letters with the Whippets under head coach Scott Burns. She earned all-conference honorable mention during her career. Her personal bests on the track were 2:17 at 800 meters and 5:17 at 1,600 meters.
Personal: Abigail Lynn Farrell is the daughter of Mike and Wendy Farrell. She is majoring in human communication studies. Abbey has two brothers, Matt and Jacob.
