Jack Schenzel

A 1995 graduate of Shippensburg University, Schenzel begins his sixth year as an assistant coach with the women’s basketball team.

Schenzel has more than 12 years of basketball coaching experience and has been an integral member of the Lady Raider coaching staff over the past few seasons. Whether on the sidelines during a game or as a dedicated instructor during practice sessions, Schenzel has added important guidance to the team. During the 2007-08 season, he served as the team’s head coach for three games while coach Kristy Trn was away for the birth of her second child.

Among Schenzel’s experience includes four years as a high school assistant coach at Shippensburg Area Senior High School. With the Greyhounds, the boys’ basketball team won a Mid-Penn championship and made three district playoff appearances. He was also a coach at Grace Baptist Temple High School in St. Albans, West Virginia during the 2002-03 season.

As a student-athlete at Shippensburg, Schenzel received a bachelor of arts degree in history in 1995. A member of the track and field team, he was named All-ECAC as a junior and senior. During his career, the Red Raiders won three PSAC championships in 1992, 1993 and 1995.

Schenzel currently resides in Falling Waters, West Virginia with his wife, Erin, and two boys, Aidan and Micah. In addition to his work with the women’s basketball team, he works as a large claims property adjuster for Erie Insurance.
