Dakota High School: Totaled three varsity letters for the Cougars under head coach Dan Vitale…played at the club level with MI Batbusters under coach MJ VandenBrink…named to the All-League, All-Conference and All-District First Team squads as a junior…finished as a two-time Academic All-Conference honoree…contributed to a MAC D1 Championship as a sophomore and a district championship as a junior…recorded 136 strikeouts and posted a 2.03 ERA as a junior…was a four-year honor roll student who compiled a 3.8 GPA…also played basketball.
 
About Flattery: Full name is Emma Janel Flattery…is the daughter of Jeffrey and Stephanie Flattery…majoring in biology with a pre-veterinary concentration…has a twin brother, Jeremy, who plays baseball at Lawrence Tech, and another brother, Jacob.
