Laken Myers is in her first season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Shippensburg University Softball team in 2023.
Myers arrived at Shippensburg after two seasons as an assistant softball coach in the Shippensburg Area School District.
As a collegian, Myers played at Gardner-Webb University and was one of the top relief pitchers for the Bulldogs. Myers appeared in 66 games, including 37 starts and 11 complete games. She totaled a 17-15 record with three shutouts, one save and 167 strikeouts.
As a freshman, she had a 7-5 record with one save. Her seven wins were the second best on the staff. Among her five complete games that season included shutouts against North Carolina A&T and South Carolina State.
Myers was a member of the Dean’s List and Honor’s List and active with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) at Gardner-Webb.
A native of Chambersburg, Myers earned her bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management from Gardner-Webb in 2021.
