* Tyler is a sophomore indoors and junior outdoors athletically while a junior academically. He red-shirted indoors in 2012-13.
2012-13 (Sophomore): Continued to work as a thrower for the Raiders in his second season…was a PSAC outdoor qualifier in the hammer, placing 10th, as well as in the discus…completed a redshirt season indoors…established a new personal best in the hammer at the conference championships…set a season best in the discus at the Paul Kaiser Classic…threw the javelin at two meets.
2011-12 (Freshman): Notched a PSAC place-winning performance in the discus in his debut season…placed fifth in the discus at the conference meet…was an outdoor conference qualifier in the shot and hammer and an indoor conference qualifier in the shot and the weight…narrowly missed a PSAC place-winning performance in the weight throw, placing ninth with a personal-best throw…achieved his outdoor PR in the discus at Bucknell.
Selinsgrove High School: Earned state medals in the discus and the shot put with the Seals under the direction of coach Troy Hess…placed fifth in each event at the PIAA Championships…totaled five varsity letters as a track & field competitor and a football player.
Personal: Full name is Tyler Dillon Kerstetter…is the son of Todd Hess and Becky McCartney…majoring in management…has a sister, Courtney…mother Becky played field hockey at Millersville.
