2010-11 (Freshman): Qualified for the PSAC indoor championships in the mile and the PSAC outdoor championships in the 1,500 meters in his debut season with the Raiders…achieved outdoor PRs in the 800 and 1,500 meters at the Paul Kaiser Classic from Seth Grove Stadium…established his indoor PR in the mile at the PSAC Championships…set an outdoor PR in the 3K at the Millersville Metrics.
Perkiomen Valley High School: Totaled eight varsity letters for the Vikings under coach Ben Giess…earned three all-conference cross country awards, earning first-team honors as a junior and senior…was a PIAA medalist as a junior track runner with a 3,200-meter time of 9:22.26…posted a PR in the 1,600 of 4:19 as a senior…both marks led to all-conference recognition…contributed to a first-team all-conference squad in the 4x800-meter relay as a senior.
Personal: Full name is Scott Michael Armstrong…is the son of Scott and Laurie Armstrong…majoring in communication/journalism…both of his parents are alums of Shippensburg…his father was a member of the Raider track team.
