2012-13 (Sophomore): Continued his work as a distance runner for the Raiders in his second season…narrowly missed a PSAC place-winning performance in the steeplechase, finishing ninth at the conference meet…was a PSAC indoor qualifier in the 3K and 5K, placing 11th in the latter…set his season best in the steeplechase at the Fred Hardy Invitational... serving as the team’s No. 3 runner at the PSAC Cross Country Championships and the No. 6 runner at the Atlantic Region Cross Country Championships.
2011-12 (Freshman): Entered the PSAC outdoor championships as one of the lower-seeded competitors in the steeplechase but surpassed the field to win a conference title in his debut season…posted a NCAA provisional qualifying time in the win and earned USTFCCCA All-Region accolades for his performance…it was his only conference event in either the indoor or outdoor season…won the steeplechase at the Millersville Metrics…notched an indoor 3,000-meter PR at Bucknell.
White Plains High School: Earned multiple letters as a cross country and track participant for the Tigers under head coach Fred Singleton…his track specialty was the steeplechase…was a two-time West Chester County champion in the steeplechase and was a New York state qualifier in the event…competed in cross country and was a state qualifier…also played ice hockey.
Personal: Full name is Peter William Gelston…is the son of Bob and Barbra Gelston...majoring in biology…has two brothers, Andrew and Matt.
