Donnie Graybill remains with the coaching staff for his third season as a specialist with vaults, field events and multis. Graybill, SU’s record holder in the heptathlon and the decathlon, serves as a mentor to a vault squad that has become a major contributor to the success of the track and field programs.
As a senior, Graybill became the first athlete in SU history to achieve All-America honors in multis competition by finishing fifth at the 2010 NCAA Division II Indoor Championships.
During his career, Graybill was a six-time PSAC placewinner in the pole vault – including the 2010 outdoor conference championship. He is the only SU vaulter in the last 15 years to clear 16 feet in competition.
At last year’s PSAC indoor meet, Graybill was named the Field MVP after winning the heptathlon with a school and meet record of 5,092 points in addition to earning All-PSAC honors in the pole vault and the high jump.
