Coach Don Serbo will be entering his seventh year as the vault coach at Shippensburg in 2009-10. Under his guidance, the vault squad has become a major contributor to the success of the track and field programs.
Serbo’s athletes have achieved two school records and garnered six PSAC all-conference honors. Christine Kihm set an indoor vault record for Shippensburg in 2006 [11’ 3.75”] and Stacy Wilcher achieved an outdoor record in 2005 [10’ 11.75”].
In 2009, Serbo mentored seven PSAC placewinners between the indoor and outdoor seasons. Four men placed at the outdoor conference championships, including a second-place finish from Donnie Graybill. Serbo helped mentor three total placewinners during the indoor championships.
In addition, Coach Serbo is a vault clinician at Shippensburg’s highly successful summer jumps camp and has developed a Web site to assist the vaulters with video analysis.
