Shippensburg University Athletics

2013 (Junior): Remained in a regular role as a forward and attacking player in his third season…appeared in 16 of the team’s 18 games…made 11 starts, including the PSAC Quarterfinal match at West Chester and seven regular-season conference matches…scored two goals, both in a victory over Bloomsburg…totaled 20 shots, including 12 on goal…finished the year as one of 10 multiple goal-getters on the squad.  
 
2012 (Sophomore): One of just two players to play in all 16 games in his second season with the club…started 14 games…tallied two goals and an assist while ranking fourth on the team with 30 shots and 15 shots on goal…scored the team’s lone goal in a 2-1 loss at Slippery Rock…added his second goal on an unassisted strike at Goldey-Beacom while also adding an assist in the team’s 6-1 victory…recorded seven shots (including four on goal) in the season-opening contest against Chestnut Hill before adding five more against Pitt-Johnstown in the second contest.
 
2011 (Freshman): Started 13 games in his debut season with the Raiders, including the first seven games of the year…finished in a tie for fourth on the team with eight points…scored goals against Goldey-Beacom, West Virginia Wesleyan and West Chester…strikes against Goldey-Beacom and West Virginia Wesleyan were game-winners…tallied assists in back-to-back games, against West Chester and NYIT…took 26 shots on the season, including 15 on goal.
 
West York High School: Earned four letters with the Bulldogs under head coach Brett Maxwell…served as a co-captain in his junior and senior seasons…named the Division 2 Player of the Year as a senior…honored with selections to YAIAA First Team and PA Soccer Coaches Association All-State squads as a senior…received YAIAA First Team honors as a junior and YAIAA honorable mention as a sophomore…tallied 65 goals and recorded 31 assists…competed at the club level with the LDC City Islanders Academy under coach Mike Lamarca.
 
About Lucas: Full name is Frederick William Lucas…is the son of Frederick and Lizbeth Lucas…majoring in criminal justice while pursuing a minor in Spanish…has two siblings: David and Elizabeth.
