Shippensburg University Athletics

2014 (Freshman): Appeared in all 17 games for the Raiders in his first full season with the squad…worked primarily as a reserve, but earned starts in conference matches against California, West Chester, Pitt-Johnstown and Seton Hill…scored a goal in a 3-2 victory at East Stroudsburg and had an assist in a home match against Mercyhurst…displayed a flair for competent crosses and long throw-ins…totaled 19 shots, including nine on goal.
 
2013 (Freshman): Was not with the team during the fall, competed in the spring.
 
2012 (Freshman): Was not with the team during the fall, competed in the spring.
 
Chambersburg Area Senior High School: Was a three-year varsity performer for the Trojans and former SU head coach Michael Dent…2011-12 Mid-Penn Commonwealth Division First Team selection…established a new school record for career assists…named “Most Athletic” among 2012 graduating class…exceled in three sports, including wrestling and baseball…recognized by South Central chapter of Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame as its 2011-12 Outstanding Male Athlete…set single-season and career records for outfield assists in baseball and re-wrote school record for outfield putouts (59)…totaled four varsity letters in wrestling, earning 2012 Public Opinion  First Team and Mid-Penn Commonwealth Division Second Team honors.
 
About Arnold: Full name is Colten Maclean Arnold…is the son of Joy and Steve Arnold…majoring in criminal justice...has two siblings, Lexi and Dawson…sister Lexi was a two-sport athlete at Slippery Rock who played volleyball and was also a three-time PSAC champion and two-time NCAA All-American in the javelin as a track & field athlete…brother Dawson attends Shippensburg…mother Joy works in the President’s Office.
