Biography

2014 (Sophomore): Maintained a role as an integral midfield and back-line presence for the Raiders in his second season with the team…appeared in all 17 games, earning starts against Wilmington, California, Slippery Rock, Mercyhurst and Pitt-Johnstown…scored the game-winning goal against Pitt-Johnstown for his lone tally of the season…totaled 12 shots, including three on goal.
 
2013 (Freshman): Provided an offensive presence on the front lines in his debut season…appeared in 11 games, making eight starts…earned starts in the final eight games of the regular season and appeared off the bench in the PSAC Quarterfinals…notched a game-winning goal in a rout of Bloomsburg…also scored the opening goal in a conference victory over Seton Hill…scored on two of his three shots on goal for the season.
 
Parkland High School: Earned a total of six varsity letters for the Trojans…received multiple varsity letters in soccer under head coach Patrick Birns…finished prep career with 38 goals and 18 assists…named to the LVIAC All-Star Team and the Morning Call All-Area Team as a junior and senior…earned his team’s Outstanding Athlete Award his senior year…also received multiple varsity letters as a track and field athlete…played club soccer for the Lehigh Valley United under coach Kendall Walkes…recorded 21 goals and five assists from 2011-12 for his club team.
 
About McConnell: Full name is Collin Jeffrey McConnell…is the son of Jeff and Christine McConnell...majoring in supply chain management…has two brothers, Cameron and Curt…Cameron competed in track & field at Bucknell.
