Ollie Templeton, an All-PSAC performer and PSAC Champion with the Shippensburg University men’s soccer team, returns to his squad as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2014 season.
Templeton appeared in 69 games with the Raiders from 2010-13. He filled an integral role on SU’s 2010 PSAC Championship team, playing in 21 games as a rookie, before starting 46 games over his final three seasons on the squad.
His career statistics include 10 goals and 13 assists. Templeton started all 31 games in which he played over his final two seasons, earning All-PSAC Second Team honors following the 2013 campaign.
A native of Halifax, England – Templeton was a two-year captain who provided leadership and experience to the team during his tenure.
Templeton earned his bachelor of arts in human communication studies from Shippensburg in August 2013 and completed his athletic eligibility in the fall as a graduate student.
He is currently studying toward a master’s degree in organizational development and leadership, concentrating in business, while serving as a club sports graduate assistant at ShipRec. Templeton is also working at Volvo’s Shippensburg facility as a competence and development intern.
