Matt Garrett is in his first full season as an assistant coach with Shippensburg University Men’s Soccer in 2025 after joining the team during the spring non-championship season.
Garrett joined the Raider coaching staff after serving as the head women’s soccer coach at Gettysburg for the past 18 seasons.
Garrett was a decorated head coach for the Bullets, compiling a 158-104-44 overall record, including a 95-53-21 mark in Centennial Conference matches.
He guided Gettysburg to 12 consecutive winning seasons during his tenure and won at least 10 matches eight times. He led the Bullets to at-large berths in the NCAA Tournament in 2014 and 2019.
Garrett coached a total of 60 all-conference players, 15 all-region performers and two All-Americans while at Gettysburg.
Prior to Gettysburg, Garrett served as an assistant coach at Robert Morris and at Slippery Rock, where he was a four-year starter and team captain.
Garrett graduated from Slippery Rock in 2000 with a degree in sports management.
