2016 Outdoors: Hewitt walked onto the team at the beginning of the outdoor season. Threw Shot Put, Discus, and Hammer at the Fred Hardy Invite, 34th Millersville Metrics, WCU Invite, Shippensburg Invite, and The 12th Annual Paul Kaiser Classic. Threw season best and PRs in all three events at the Shippensburg Invite. Qualified for PSAC Championships in the Hammer.

Fairfield Area High School:  Hewitt totaled 4 varsity letters with the Knights in track and field under coach Brett Barnes. Team captain Junior and Senior seasons... 3x District 3 AA Medalist in Discus throw... 2014 District 3 AA Runner up in Discus throw. 2014 PIAA State qualifier in Discus Throw. 2014 first team all YAIAA track and field all-star... High school PRs of 140' in Discus, 40' in Shot Put, and 140' in Javelin... Also a member of the wrestling team at 182lbs under coaches EJ Small and Tom Koontz, earning 2 varsity letters. Starting WR for the Football team under head coach Darwin Seiler, earning 1 varsity letter.  2013 Football team qualified for District 3 A tournament and was first winning season in school history. 

Personal: Full name is Tyler Adam Hewitt... Son of Troy and Emily Hewitt who both attended Fairfield Area High School. Father still holds school record in Discus throw. Has one older brother named Troy Jr... Also has a cat named Honey. Tyler is majoring in History Secondary Education. Would love to one day be a track coach.  Has a 3.5 GPA.
