2012-13 (Freshman): Won the Middle Atlantic Conference title in the discus as a rookie for the Bulldogs of DeSales…established his personal best in the discus and the shot put at the Lehigh Games…was a MAC indoor qualifier in the weight throw and the shot put and a MAC outdoor qualifier in the shot put…established his indoor personal best in the shot put and his outdoor PR in the hammer at Muhlenberg.
Downingtown East High School: Totaled multiple varsity letters for the Cougars under coach (George Read?)…had the top discus throw in District I in 2012, breaking the 40-year-old record of Coatesville’s Abel Joe by throwing more than 189 feet…won gold medals at the Ches-Mont League Championships (discus and shot), two medals (gold in discus, silver in shot) at the District 1 Class AAA Championships and set meet records in the discus at both events...named the 2012 Daily Local News Boys Track and Field Athlete of the Year…placed fifth at the PIAA State Championship meet in the discus as a senior and 11th in the shot put…also played football.
Personal: Full name is Ryan L. Hart…is the son of Scott and Julie Hart…majoring in international studies with a concentration in global political relations and Asian studies.
