Camp Hill High School: Behney earned seven varsity letters under coaches Mark Haywood and Mike Barndt. He was a three-time state qualifier and two-time state medalist in cross country, finishing 9th as a junior and 22nd as a senior at the PIAA ‘A’ Championships. Additionally, he was team captain of Camp Hill’s state team when they won the PIAA ‘A’ state team championship his senior year. His personal best for 5K was 16:34. As a senior on the track he was a member of the school record-setting 4x800 meter relay that placed 5th at the PIAA ‘AA’ Championships and ran the 800-meter leg on Camp Hill’s school record-setting Distance Medley Relay at New Balance Nationals, where they placed 10th. Behney was also on the honor roll.
Personal: Blake Robert Behney is the son of Keith Behney and Sherri Behney. He is majoring in communication/journalism and looking to enter the pre-law program. His brother, Brett, is a junior at Shippensburg and he also has a sister, Bridget.
