2010 (Junior): In his first season running for Shippensburg, Miller competed in the opening two races of the season. At the Alumni Invitational, he finished first on the team and fourth overall with a 20:14, his SU PR in the 6K. At the Dickinson Invitational, he ran a 27:29 in the 8K race, another SU PR and good for third place amongst Shippensburg runners. During the track season, Miller was a PSAC indoor qualifier in the mile and 5K and a PSAC outdoor qualifier in the 1,500 meters.
2009 (Sophomore): Miller competed in cross country for Hagerstown Community College. For the second straight year, he competed in the NJCAA Cross Country National Championships and was an Academic All-American. Before graduating, Miller received the ‘True Grit’ award and received the Outstanding Scholar-Athlete award for possessing the highest grade-point average of all student-athletes at his school. His 8K PR for cross country was established at 27:19.
2008 (Freshman): Miller competed in cross country for Hagerstown Community College and debuted as an Academic All-American. He competed in the NJCAA Cross Country National Championships. 
Clear Spring High School: Miller earned multiple letters in cross country and track and field for the Blazers under head coach Jaime Mason. As a multiple all-conference competitor, Miller was a part of a 2005 and 2006 Maryland 1A Cross Country state championship squad.   
Personal: Wade Edward Miller is the son of Nicole Row and is the brother of Dustin Adams, a former teammate on the SU cross country squad. He is majoring in exercise science.
