2013 (R-Sophomore): Running cross country for the first time at Shippensburg, Libbi made an immediate impact as a scoring performer for the Raiders. Libbi blossomed at the PSAC Championships, achieving a stupendous eighth-place finish as SU’s No. 2 runner in 25:54. He continued his momentum at the NCAA Regional Championships, placing 14th while serving once again as the team’s No. 2 runner. He was the No. 3 runner at the NCAA Championships. Other than a stint as the No. 5 runner in the ‘Gold’ race at Paul Short, Libbi was one of the team’s Top 3 runners all season long. In track, Libbi placed fifth at the PSAC Indoor Championships in the 5K and was an indoor conference qualifier in the mile and 3K. He did not compete outdoors.
2012 (Sophomore): Libbi attended Bloomsburg during the fall but did not compete in cross country. He transferred to Shippensburg for the spring semester and competed in both indoor and outdoor track. With the Raiders, he was a PSAC indoor qualifier in the 3K and a PSAC outdoor qualifier in the 1,500 meters and the 5K.
2011 (Freshman): In his first year of collegiate running, Libbi was the pace-setter for Bloomsburg University at the PSAC and Atlantic Region Championships, posting 45th- and 49th-place finishes respectively in a solid rookie season. He also served as Bloomsburg’s No. 1 runner at the Jack St. Clair Championship and as the No. 2 runner at Mack Cooper Invitational and the Bison Open. During the track season, Libbi placed sixth in the 3K at the PSAC indoor championships and ran on his team’s 4x800-meter and distance medley relays that each posted Top-5 finishes. Outdoors, he was a PSAC qualifier in the 5K.
West Chester East High School: Libbi amassed 10 varsity letters with the Vikings under coach Kareem Lanier. During indoor track competition, Libbi was a state medalist in the mile at the 2011 PIAA Championships. He was also a five-time district qualifier in track, including twice in the 1,600 meters and with his school’s 4x800-meter relay and once at 3,200 meters. His personal best at 1,600 meters was 4:20.
Personal: Nicholas Libbi is the son of Lou and Nancy Libbi. He is majoring in marketing.
