2013 (R-Freshman): Croft debuted with the Raiders and ran in the first seven races of the season, including the conference championships. He completed three different distances, including five 8K competitions. At the PSAC Championships, Croft served as SU’s No. 9 runner with a Top 70 finish. His fastest 8K time came at Lock Haven, where he ran 26:16 for a stint as the team’s No. 3 runner in an 11th-place overall finish. At Gettysburg, Croft was SU’s No. 2 runner and placed 21st overall.

Red Lion Area High School: Croft earned seven varsity letters for the Lions under head coach Todd Barshinger. He finished sixth at the District 3 Championships in the two-mile as a senior with a time of 9:38. As a junior, Croft was named the York Daily Record Division I Runner of the Year. He placed fourth in the 5K at the YAIAA meet (17:04) and came in 17th (17:03) at the District 3 Championships.
Personal: Matthew Paul Croft is the son of John and Pam Croft. He is majoring in software engineering. Matthew has one sister, Megan.
