2009 (Junior): In his third season, Sitler battled and completed five races. He was the team’s No. 6 runner at the Alumni 6K meet and at the Paul Short Invitational, in which he recorded an 8K PR of 25:42. During the outdoor track season, Sitler was a PSAC placewinner in the steeplechase and helped SU defend its PSAC title.
2008 (Sophomore): Sitler ran in seven of the team’s eight races in his second year with the team and was always one of the team’s top-six runners. His value shone threw in the final two weeks of the season, as Sitler was a scoring runner for Shippensburg at the Atlantic Regional Championships with a 10K time of 33:21 that slotted him in 23rd place. His impressive personal-best time of 25:51 at the Paul Short Invitational was the team’s second-fastest time at the event and was one of the best performances by an SU athlete during the season. He competed at four different distances during the season and was the team’s third-fastest runner at the first two meets of the season for Shippensburg.
2007 (Freshman): Sitler emerged as a valuable contributor to the Red Raider cross country team in his first season, competing in all eight meets on the campaign while finishing in the team’s top five on four occasions. In addition to gaining valuable experience for the coming years, he posted a time of 33:31 at the NCAA East Region-als in his first effort on a 10K course at the collegiate level. His best overall finish was a 10th-place turn at the Elizabethtown Invitational, completing the 4K course in 19:51 for the fourth-best effort among his teammates. Sitler ran the five-mile NYU Invitational in 28:05.80 while competing the 8K conference championship course at Kutztown in 27:56.50. His best 8K time of the season came at the Gettysburg Invitational, where he completed the course in 27:31.11.
