Yurcich was named the 2004 PSAC Cross Country Runner of the Year and USTFCCCA East Region Athlete of the Year for her exploits.

In addition to her All-America honors, Yurcich was the 2006 PSAC 5K champion during her junior year. That same season, she finished ninth in the 10K at Penn Relays.

A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Yurcich earned her bachelor’s degree in special education/elementary education in 2007, finishing her schooling with a 3.91 GPA.
