2008 (Sophomore): Beegle earned All-Atlantic Region honors and All-PSAC honors for his outstanding production during his second season as a Red Raider runner. He finished sixth at the conference meet with a time of 25:00 and completed the 10K regional course in 32:19 to finish eighth overall. His 8K time of 24:57 at the Paul Short Invitational ranks as one of the fastest times in 10 years by a member of the program. He also ran the 8K portion of the Dickinson Invitational, winning with a time of 26:00. He served as the fastest Raider runner in all six meets in which he competed. Overall, Beegle was named the 2008-09 Shippensburg University Male Student Athlete of the Year after a campaign in which he was named the PSAC’s Most Valuable Track Athlete of the indoor meet after winning a championship in the 1-mile run (4:14.46), finishing second in the 3,000-meters (8:38.70) and winning a combined championship as the anchor of the DMR. He also set the school record for the men’s DMR at Penn State.
