Biography

2014-2015 (Junior): Appeared in all 27 games as one of SU’s best perimeter threats, and worked his way into the starting lineup for the final 15 consecutive games…averaged 25.4 minutes per game, the fifth most on the team…finished fourth on the team in scoring, averaging 9.1 points per game…led the Raiders with 52 three-pointers…made multiple three-pointers in 15 games…shot 87 percent from the free throw line…shot 39.5 percent from the field and 32.7 percent from beyond the arc…cracked double-digits in points in seven of the first eight games….finished second on the team with 23 blocks…set season highs in points (24) and three-point field goals (six) in a five-point loss at Millersville…scored 21 points twice; once in the season opener against Georgian Court and also versus West Chester…played a season-high 39 minutes at Lock Haven…led the Raiders in scoring in six separate contests.
 
2013-14 (Sophomore): Emerged as a consistent starter for the Raiders in his second season, playing in all 26 games and starting in 24 contests…averaged 29.9 minutes per game…played all 40 minutes in conference games at Bloomsburg and versus Mansfield…played at least 30 minutes in 15 contests…averaged 10.7 points per game… led the team in three-point field goals, shooting 56-of-166 (34 percent) from beyond the arc…hit a season high five three-pointers at Lock Haven and had more than one three-pointer in 18 games…sank four three-pointers four times…scored in double digits in 15 games including a career-best 25 points in a victorious season finale versus Millersville…scored 21 points at Edinboro, 19 at Lock Haven, 18 vs. Mansfield and 17 at East Stroudsburg…totaled 75 rebounds, good for 2.9 per game…pulled down eight boards at East Stroudsburg and seven at Pitt-Johnstown…totaled 17 assists including a career-high four assists at Bloomsburg…totaled 13 steals and 12 blocks.
 
2012-13 (Freshman): Played in all 27 games in his first season at SU, making two starts…averaged 11.5 minutes per game…averaged 3.6 points and 1.5 rebounds per game…shot 30-of-93 (32.3 percent) from the field, including 17-of-66 (25.8 percent) from beyond the arc…was fourth on the team in three-point makes and took the third-most attempts…swiped 14 steals…scored in double figures in four of the first five games of the season, including a career-high 14 points against Salem International…also scored in double figures in regular season finale at Millersville (12 points)…pulled down five rebounds each in three consecutive games against Penn State-Mont Alto, Clarion and Lock Haven…earned starts against Salem International and Penn State-Mont Alto…played a career-high 26 minutes against Salem International.
 
Swenson Arts & Tech: Earned three varsity letters for the Lions under head coach Pat Durkin…averaged 18 points, four rebounds and three assists in his career…achieved Philadelphia All-Public League Third Team honors…earned Mayor’s VIP Award…selected to the Mastery North All-Tournament Team…also competed in track and cross country…played for club teams Hunting Park and Positive Image.
 
About Hardy: ­Full name is John Lloyd Hardy…is the son of Brian and Maria Hardy…has five siblings: Kiyon, Nande, Haneef, Ayana and Braelin…majoring in communication/journalism with a concentration in electronic media while seeking a minor in human communication studies.
