Enters his third season with the Red Raiders with nine starts on the defensive line over the last two years…has tallied six tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks for his career…will battle for a starting role along the defensive line this season.

2007 (Sophomore):  Started the first four games of the season along the defensive line and appeared in nine of the team’s 11 games overall…totaled a career-high 26 tackles with four for loss and 1.5 sacks…recorded a season and career-high six tackles against Slippery Rock at home on October 20…amassed five tackles twice, on September 8 at Liberty and on November 3 at IUP…picked up a sack for a loss of two yards against IUP and combined for a sack against Lock Haven on October 27…contributed to at least one tackle for loss in five different games…tallied a season-high 1.5 tackles for loss against IUP.

2006 (Freshman):  Appeared in the final eight games of the season after not seeing action in the first three … made five starts over the final seven games, including three of the last four … totaled 18 tackles with two for loss and one sack … also had one quarterback hurry … totaled a career-high five tackles in his first career start against Bloomsburg at home on September 30 … also had four tackles against California (Pa.) on October 28 … picked up his first career sack against Clarion in the fourth quarter of the season finale when he dropped Tyler Huether for a loss of nine yards on second-and-13 … combined with Frank Duffy for a tackle for loss against Edinboro on November 4.

Easton High School:  Named All-State Second Team at offensive tackle by the Associated Press as a senior in 2003 … also earned all-area first team honors from both the Morning Call and Express Times … played for head coach Steve Shiffert … three-year letterman … Red Rovers went 11-3 in 2003 en route to winning Lehigh Valley Conference and District XI championships.

Personal:  Full name is Michael Edward James Apgar … is the son of James Faulstick and Gail Apgar … born on June 15, 1986 ... majoring in social work … has four brothers and sisters, Kyle Apgar, Tyler Faulstick, Briana Faulstick and Justin Savercool.
