Chestnut Ridge Senior High School: Totaled four varsity letters for the Lions under head coach Max Shoemaker…finished as a two-time Pennsylvania Football Writers All-State ‘AA’ honoree…earned three All-Bedford County First Team classifications and two All-Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference (LHAC) classifications…recorded more than 50 career receptions, 2,200 receiving yards and 23 receiving touchdowns…tallied more than 140 tackles as a defender, including nine interceptions…registered more than 1,000 career kickoff return yards…was a key part of District 5 Class 2A title-winning teams as a sophomore and junior…amassed 14 varsity letters overall spanning football, baseball, basketball and track & field, including All-State honors in basketball as a junior…was a high honor student who graduated with a 4.0 GPA.
 
About Whysong: Full name is Matthew Jordan Whysong…is the son of Matt and Bernadette Whysong…majoring in exploratory studies...has a brother, Nate…father Matt is a member of the Bedford County Hall of Fame for his prowess in fastpitch softball.
