Biography

2012 (R-Junior): Played in all 13 games for the Red Raiders as a defensive back and an integral special teams contributor…finished the season with a career-high 24 tackles…made at least one tackle in nine games…notched a career-high five tackles at ESU and in the NCAA playoffs versus Bloomsburg…had multiple tackles in games versus Kutztown, Cheyney, Lock Haven and Slippery Rock.

2011 (R-Sophomore): Saw an increased role in his second competitive season for the Raiders…played in every game of the season …finished with four tackles on the season and a fumble recovery in the fourth quarter against West Chester…totaled two tackles against Clarion.

2010 (R-Freshman): Did not see game action.

2009 (Freshman): Redshirt season.

Manheim Township High School: Excelled at safety while also contributing as a wide receiver under head coach Mike Melnyk...led team in senior season with 331 receiving yards and four touchdowns...defensively, recorded 25 solo tackles with four assists, four passes defended and four interceptions...also averaged 11.3 yards per punt return...compiled 385 career receiving yards along with 39 tackles and five interceptions as a varsity athlete…won three letters…competed in North vs. South All Star game…played varsity baseball as well.

Personal: Full name is Kyle Paul Karpinski…is the son of Jed and Tammy Karpinski… majoring in management with a concentration in general management...father played in the ‘Big 33’ game back in 1979 and was a four-year wide receiver at Rutgers.
