2021 (R-Freshman): Appeared in all 11 games as an integral member of the secondary in his debut season on the field, including 10 starts at defensive back…recorded one interception, which he returned 31 yards for a touchdown against Bloomsburg…finished the season with eight pass defenses, including seven breakups…totaled 34 tackles, including multiple tackles in seven games, five or more tackles in four games and a season-high eight tackles against Kutztown…registered two tackles-for-loss (TFLs) for a total of nine yards.
 
2020 (R-Freshman): No season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
2019 (Freshman): Redshirt season.
 
Deptford Township High School: Totaled multiple varsity letters for the Spartans under head coach Steve Scuderi…named to the All-South Jersey Second Team…earned All-Conference First Team honors as a defensive back and as a running back…also competed in track & field…finished as a 13-time state champion in track & field spanning relays and individual performances as well as a three-time All-American.
 
About Smith: Full name is Khion Dior Smith…is the son of Troy Smith and Elianet Edwards…majoring in criminal justice…has a twin brother, Naseem, who competes in track & field at Syracuse.
