Shippensburg University Athletics

A durable lineman who enters the season as the full-time starter at defensive end after leading Shippensburg in sacks last season… has not missed a game in his three seasons with the Red Raiders and will form a potent combination this year with fellow lineman Jason Groller.

2007 (Junior): Led the team in sacks and finished among the top-ten in tackles for the Red Raiders in his third season with Shippensburg… imposed opponents with 42 total tackles, including 18 solo, while starting nine of the team’s 11 games… led the team in sacks with four… posted seven tackles in each of the first two games of the season… recorded at least one tackle in every game during the season… earned sacks against Liberty, West Chester, Slippery Rock and California (Pa.)… led the team with two tackles for loss against Liberty on September 8… forced a fumble against the Flames… six of his tackles on the season went for a combined loss of 38 yards.

2006 (Sophomore):  Appeared in all 11 games with 10 starts … finished third among defensive linemen with 29 tackles … was second on the team in sacks with 4.5 … totaled a career-high seven tackles, including six against Kutztown on September 16 … also had two sacks … had at least one tackle in all 11 games … blocked a second quarter punt against Shepherd in the season opener.

2005 (Freshman):  Recorded 18 tackles, including four for a loss … registered a season-high six tackles in the home-opening victory against Millersville to go along with 1.5 sacks that netted a loss of 15 yards … also recorded four tackles in road contests at Lock Haven and Slippery Rock … appeared in eight games on the season, including starts against Indiana (Pa.), Lock Haven and Slippery Rock.

Cumberland Valley High School:  Two-year letterman … played for head coach Tim Rimpfel … earned All-Mid Penn Conference First Team as a senior … named to the All-Sentinel First Team and selected as a District III All-Star … led the team in sacks with 18  in 2003 … finished the season with 65 tackles … team won both a Mid Penn Conference and District III championship his senior season … team was 33-4 during his career.
