Shippensburg University Athletics

An athletic fourth-year defensive end … has good size and quickness … qualified for national championships in wrestling … expected to start at defensive end for the second-straight season … enters the season battling a neck injury … one of the top pass rushers on the team.

2007 (Red-shirt junior):  Earned Second Team All-PSAC Western Division honors after compiling 44 tackles, including 20 solo tackles, in his third competitive season with Shippensburg… appeared in all 11 games for the second consecutive season… totaled four tackles for loss, including 1.5 sacks for eight yards…broke up two passes and recovered a fumble in the season opener against Shepherd… posted three quarterback hurries on the season… contributed to at least one tackle for loss in six of the team’s 11 games… ranked seventh on the team in tackles… had a season-high eight tackles on the road at IUP on November 3… made four solo tackles and seven total tackles against Millersville on October 13.

2006 (Red-shirt sophomore):  Started all 11 games at defensive end ... totaled 41 tackles, the highest total among defensive linemen … finished second on the team with 11.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks … also had a second quarter interception against Shepherd in the season opener … had a career-high seven tackles against California (Pa.) on October 28 … also had six tackles versus Bloomsburg and five against Edinboro … totaled two sacks for a loss of nine years versus Edinboro … had at least one sack in four games and a tackle for loss in eight games.

2005 (Red-shirt freshman):  Appeared in 11 games, starting the final contest of the season against West Chester … recorded 10 tackles, including three solo … totaled a season-high three tackles against West Chester … registered 0.5 sacks and contributed two tackles for loss.

2004 (Freshman):  Red-shirt season.

Easton High School:  Three-year letterman … played for head coach Steve Shiffert … played offensive tackle and inside linebacker … totaled 128 tackles, 15 sacks, six fumble recoveries and five forced fumbles in 2003 … led team in sacks … earned all-state third team honors as a senior … named All-Lehigh Valley Interscholastic Athletic Conference (LVIAC) as both a linebacker and offensive tackle … Express Times and Morning Call All-Area First Team … helped team to District II and Eastern Conference championship in 2002 … also lettered four years in wrestling ... was a member of four consecutive state and district championship teams from 2001-04.
