2020 (R-Sophomore): No season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
2019 (R-Freshman): Played in all 11 games as a reserve linebacker and regular special teams performer…finished the season with 19 tackles, including 11 solo tackles…contributed at least one tackle in each of the final six games of the season, including multiple tackles in five games…recorded a career-high seven tackles, including his only TFL of the season, against Lock Haven…credited with a blocked kick at Kutztown.
 
2018 (Freshman): Redshirt season.
 
Central Martinsburg High School: Totaled three varsity letters with the Dragons under head coach Dave Baker…twice named to the Pennsylvania Football Writers (PFW) All-State squad as a linebacker…earned three All-Mountain League First Team honors and three All-Area classifications…collected 256 career tackles, including 59 tackles-for-loss (TFLs), 10 sacks and four interceptions…was an honors student with a 3.4 GPA…also lettered in wrestling and track & field.
 
About Smith: Full name is Jared Michael Smith...is the son of Michael and Anita Smith…majoring in finance while seeking a minor in economics…has four sisters: Michaela, Halee, Olivia and Charlee.
