Shippensburg University Athletics

2014 (Sophomore): Appeared in eight games for Seton Hill in his second year on the field for the Griffins…totaled 12 receptions for 232 yards and two touchdowns…averaged 19.3 yards per reception…had a season and career-long reception of 53 yards for a touchdown against Shippensburg…totaled four receptions for 110 yards against Shippensburg…totaled two receptions and 50 yards against both IUP and Slippery Rock, including a touchdown against The Rock…hauled in three catches against Lock Haven and one against West Chester…transferred to Shippensburg for the 2015 spring semester and competed for the Red Raiders during spring practice and in the Red-White Spring Game. 
 
2013 (R-Freshman): Played in all 11 games for Seton Hill as a first-year starter…finished second on the team with 24 receptions for 266 yards and three touchdowns…averaged 11.1 yards per reception…had a breakout game of 10 catches for 115 yards against Mercyhurst, including a 50-yard reception…caught two of his touchdowns against Edinboro…hauled in multiple receptions in five games and had at least one reception in nine games…brought in a 43-yard touchdown against Slippery Rock…earned one rush for five yards.
 
2012 (Freshman): Redshirt season at Seton Hill.
 
Meade Senior High School: Earned three varsity letters with the Mustangs under head coach Rich Holzer…earned 2011 All-Anne Arundel County Second Team honors as a senior wide receiver…also competed in track & field and wrestling…invited to compete in the Chesapeake Bowl.
 
About Kerns: Full name is Erik Morgan Kerns…is the son of Errol Kerns Sr. and Beverly Kerns…plans to major in psychology…has two siblings: Erica Whitemire and Errol Kerns Jr.
