Landon Archangelo is in his first season as a student assistant coach with the Shippensburg University football team in 2019 after playing quarterback for the Red Raiders from 2016-18.Â
Archangelo appeared in nine games during his SU career, including six games in the 2016 season. He completed 31-of-62 passes for 379 yards and three touchdowns to just one interception. On the ground, Archangelo rushed for 99 yards on 21 attempts for an average of 4.7 yards per carry. In a victory at Millersville, Archangelo has the rare distinction of at least 100 rushing yards and 100 passing yards in the same game — he totaled 110 passing yards and 104 rushing yards with a passing touchdown against the Marauders.
Archangelo is set to graduate in December 2019. He is majoring in finance, concentrating in personal financial planning, and pursuing a minor in economics. His grandfather, John O’Donoghue, played nine years in Major League Baseball and was an All Star in 1965 with the Kansas City Royals.Â
