2020 (R-Junior): No season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
2019 (R-Sophomore): Appeared in all 11 games at quarterback in his second full season with the Red Raiders…missed one start due to injury…ranked fourth in the PSAC in pass completions (211), fifth in the PSAC in passing yards (2,646), sixth in passing touchdowns (20) and seventh in the PSAC in completion percentage (61.3)…tied for second in the PSAC for fewest interceptions (8) among starting quarterbacks…threw for at least 200 passing yards in eight games, including three games of at least 300 passing yards and a season-high 409 passing yards at Shepherd…completed at least 20 passes in six games, including a season-high 29 against Lock Haven…had at least one passing touchdown in eight games, including three or more passing touchdowns in four games and a season-high four passing touchdowns against Lock Haven…contributed to the team’s longest pass play of the season with a 76-yard touchdown pass at Shepherd…compiled a pass efficiency rating of 140.5.
 
2018 (R-Freshman): Named the PSAC Eastern Division Freshman of the Year to highlight immediate contributions to the Red Raiders in his debut collegiate season…started all 11 games at quarterback…led the PSAC in five major passing categories, including touchdowns (32), yards (3,376), completions (254), attempts (421) and yards-per-game average (306.9)…was the only PSAC quarterback to eclipse both 3,000 passing yards and 30 touchdowns this season, his totals for both categories each rank third in SU single-season history…finished the year ranked second in the nation in passing touchdowns, sixth in passing yards and ninth in points responsible for (192)…named the PSAC Eastern Division Offensive Athlete of the Week and the VFW Homecoming Offensive MVP after completing 36-of-53 passes for 510 yards and four touchdowns against Kutztown…achieved 10 "chunk" plays of 15 or more yards through the air in the game…marked the second-best single-game passing output in SU history and the 20th time in PSAC history that a quarterback has finished with at least 500 passing yards in a game…had five games with 300 or more passing yards, including a 386-yard effort against LIU Post and a 357-yard effort at West Chester…threw at least one touchdown pass in every game, including a season-high five touchdowns at Lock Haven, four touchdowns on four occasions and multiple touchdowns in nine games…completed at least 20 passes in eight games…registered season-long pass plays with a 77-yard touchdown against Kutztown and a 75-yard touchdown against LIU Post…cited as the Red Raider “Impact” Player of the Year at the team’s postseason awards banquet.
 
2017 (Freshman): Redshirt season at Lafayette…competed for Shippensburg in spring ball.  
 
Montoursville Area High School: Compiled 16 varsity letters for the Warriors, including four in football under head coach J.C. Keefer…named to the ‘AAA’ All-State First Team as a senior…named to the All-Pennsylvania Heartland Athletic Conference (PHAC) squad once as a quarterback and three times as a punter…threw for 2,866 yards and 30 touchdowns as a senior…totaled district records of 6,956 passing yards and 69 passing touchdowns in his career…was a member of the high honor roll, National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta…also earned four varsity letters in basketball, baseball and track & field…received All-PHAC honors in basketball twice in baseball…placed fifth in the triple jump at the District IV Championships. 
 
About Mussina: Full name is Brycen Cole Mussina…is the son of Mike and Jana Mussina…majoring in geoenvironmental studies…has a brother, Peyton, and a sister, Kyra…father Mike is a Major League Baseball (MLB) Hall of Famer who spent 18 combined seasons with the Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees, winning seven Gold Gloves and being named to five All-Star teams.
