Biography

2013 (R-Junior): Named the All-PSAC East Second Team tight end in his second season as a starter…hauled in career highs of 12 passes for 135 yards with an 11.2 yard-per-catch average…caught a four-yard touchdown at Cheyney and hauled in a one-handed, season-long 22-yard reception at Bloomsburg on national television…set a career high with three catches on two occasions: against East Stroudsburg and Seton Hill…had a season-high 31 yards receiving against ESU…earned the Patricia Rees Memorial Scholarship at the team banquet.

2012 (R-Sophomore): Fulfilled the role of starting tight end for the Red Raiders in his second full season…earned starts against Shepherd, The Rock, ESU, Lock Haven, Cheyney and in the NCAA playoffs versus Bloomsburg (six games)…appeared in all 13 games…caught nine passes for 111 yards…posted career highs with two receptions and 32 receiving yards in addition to his first career touchdown catch in a victory over Millersville…managed at least one reception in eight games…had a career-long 24-yard reception versus Millersville.
 
2011 (R-Freshman): Played in all 11 games, primarily on special teams…earned a start at tight end at Millersville…caught one pass for 23 yards against Kutztown…graded out at 65 percent on the season among 110 total snaps…played a career-high 29 snaps against Kutztown, grading out at a career-high 72 percent…played 24 snaps at Millersville and 18 at Cheyney, grading out at 67 percent in both games.
 
2010 (Freshman): Redshirt season.

Great Oak High School:  Durable tight end who helped Scott Strosnider’s Wolfpack to a 6-5 finish in 2009 and an appearance in the postseason…lettered in two seasons…finished second on team in receptions and receiving yards with 27 catches for 350 yards and three touchdowns as a senior…averaged 12.89 yards per reception…was good for an additional 15 receptions and 186 yards as a junior… also played linebacker and punted for the Wolfpack … named to the All-Southwestern League Second Teams as both a tight end and a defensive lineman selection.

About Kuljian:  Full name is Alexander Jake Kuljian…is the son of Nancy and Gordon Kuljian…majoring in supply chain management and operations…has two younger brothers, Garrett and Tanner…Kuljian’s uncle, Joe Maddon, is the manager of the Tampa Bay Rays.
