Biography

2011 (Junior): Maintained her role as one of the best midfield players in Division II during her third season on the squad…again named to the All-PSAC Western Division First Team squad…again named to the NFHCA First Team All-America team…started all 21 games, finishing second on the team with career-high 10 assists and fourth with 26 points…11th in Division II in assists per game (0.48)…posted eight goals on 58 shots, including 33 on goal…had three game-winners: against Slippery Rock, Mansfield and Mercyhurst…scored the first two goals and assisted on the third in the 5-0 victory at Slippery Rock…had a goal and two assists against Mansfield…scored the lone goal in the team’s 3-1 loss to Bloomsburg in the PSAC title game…provided at least one point in 10 of the team’s 21 contests…posted 12 points in one four-game stretch in the middle of the season…named to the NFHCA Division II National Academic Squad.

2010 (Sophomore): Became an integral member of the team during her second season with the Raiders...solidified her position as the team’s primary midfielder...honored as an NFHCA First Team All-American...named an All-PSAC Western Division First Team midfielder...started all 23 games...chosen to the NCAA All-Tournament Team...recorded the primary assist on SU’s game-winning goal in the national semifinals...scored eight goals...recorded five assists...tallied one game-winning goal...added a defensive save against East Stroudsburg in the season finale...contributed multiple goals in home victories over Millersville, Mansfield and Kutztown...delivered assists against Slippery Rock, ESU, Mercyhurst and both games against Bloomsburg...fired 26 shots on goal...named to the NFHCA Division II National Academic Squad.

2009 (Freshman): Served as a valuable defender and midfielder in her debut season with the team…appeared in 11 games during the season…made three starts in the postseason, including the PSAC championship game and two contests in the NCAA playoffs…scored a goal on her only shot on goal of the season in the PSAC championship game against Bloomsburg…totaled seven shots overall…named to the NFHCA Division II National Academic Squad.

Mechanicsburg High School: Earned three letters with the Wildcats in the Mid-Penn Conference’s Keystone Division under the direction of coach Stacey Poe…also played for both the Rams and Pa. Maverick club teams…netted nine goals and assisted in 16 other goals during high school career…was named both an All-State and Mid-Penn Honorable Mention All-Star following her senior season…also played soccer for the Wildcats.

Personal: Full name is Taylor Marie Jones…is the daughter of Sam and Teresa Jones…majoring in psychology while seeking a minor in coaching.
