2-Time All-PSAC (2018 First Team, 2017 Second Team)
 
2018 (Junior): Named to the NFHCA All-America First Team and All-PSAC First Team after a banner third season…started all but one game as the center back…anchored an SU defensive corps that posted nine shutouts and allowed one goal or less in 15 games…served as the primary flyer on penalty corners and was frequently tasked with one-on-one defensive assignments against the top forwards of opposing teams…contributed to a defense that allowed just one goal in three NCAA Tournament games, including shutouts in the national semifinals and the national championship.
 
2017 (Sophomore): Named to the All-PSAC Second Team squad to cap off an impressive second season on defense…finished as one of six players to start all 21 games…functioned as a key cog on a defense that posted one shutout, gave up one goal or less in 12 games, and yielded just three total goals in three NCAA Tournament matches…credited with defensive saves against West Chester and East Stroudsburg.
 
2016 (Freshman): Appeared in 20 games while making eight starts for the Raiders in her first season…named to the Synapse Sports All-Rookie Team…served as an integral defender, patrolling the back lines on a regular basis…contributed to a defense that posted 14 shutouts and held opponents to one goal or less in 21 games. 
 
Conestoga Valley High School: Was a four-year varsity starter for the Buckskins under head coach Lee Gerdes…named a Second Team All Star as a sophomore and senior…received honorable mention as a junior…totaled eight varsity letters, competing in both basketball and track & field…competed at the club level for Lanco Premier under coach Bree Gillespie.

About Cheney: Full name is Mikayla Lynn Cheney…is the daughter of Mark Cheney and Marilyn Torres…majoring in exercise science while seeking a minor in coaching…has two brothers: Eric Perez and Marcus Cheney.
