Biography

2010 (Junior): Named the NFHCA Division II Field Hockey Player of the Year after a historic season in which SU advanced to the national championship game…honored as NFHCA South Region Player of the Year as a NFHCA First-Team All-American…chosen as the PSAC Western Division Player of the Year and received All-PSAC Western Division First Team honors…scored 19 goals – third-most in the PSAC and tied for fifth in Division II…ranked 6th in the nation in goals per game and 13th in the nation for points per game…selected to the All-Tournament Team at the 2010 Division II National Championships…scored five game-winning goals, including an overtime golden goal in a 3-2 victory over No. 3 East Stroudsburg…had at least one goal in 15 of her team’s 23 games this season…held without a point in just four regular-season games…started all 23 games…SU was held to just two goals in a game twice during the regular season, but in each of those games, Taylor scored both goals...recorded multiple goals in a game on four occasions…finished with at least one shot in every regular season game…tallied 64 shots on goal…achieved five-game goal scoring streaks on two occasions during the season.

2009 (Sophomore):
Emerged as one of the best field hockey players in the country…voted a Longstreth/NFHCA Division II First Team All-American and named to the Division II All-Tournament team…honored as the PSAC Western Division Player of the Year in addition to earning All-PSAC First Team honors…finished the season ranked second in Division II for goals per game (1.09) and points per game (2.59), third in total goals (24) and 12th in assists (9)…scored six game-winning goals…missed just one game due to injury…started in 22 of the team’s 23 games…moved into SU’s Top 10 scorers in program history…tallied 79 shots on goal…scored a season-high four goals in a win over Seton Hill…notched a hat trick in the season opener over Southern Connecticut State…repeated the feat in a 3-0 win at IUP…registered multiple goals in seven games…had at least one goal in 13 games and at least one point in 17 games…picked as the PSAC Player of the Week honors three times.

2008 (Freshman): Wasted no time becoming one of the team’s leading players…named the PSAC Western Division Rookie of the Year as a member of the All-PSAC Western Division First Team at forward… finished second in school history for goals from a freshman…made 19 starts and appeared in 21 games…scored the game-winning goal in double overtime at IUP to give Shippensburg its first ever NCAA postseason victory…scored 14 goals and recorded seven assists for 35 total points…fired 60 shots…picked up game-winning goals against Mercyhurst, Slippery Rock and Kutztown…tallied a hat trick at Kutztown…scored twice against the Lakers…had at least one point in 15 games during the season…voted as the PSAC Western Division Player of the Week after a three-goal week.

Pocono Mountain West High School: Earned Mountain Valley Conference First Team honors in her junior and senior years...named 2004 Rookie of the Year...three-time Pocono Record MVP and “Today’s Star”...received Athlete of the Month award...was a four-year letter winner for the Panthers under head coach Kim Kochanski...played for the East Coast club team under head coach Bill Gaudetto...also played softball for the Panthers and earned the coaches award her junior and senior years.
