2012 (Junior): Repeated as a NFHCA Second Team All-American in her third year with the Raiders…started all 20 games on defense…anchors the center backfield…credited with defensive saves against LIU Post and West Chester (NCAA playoffs)…added scoring punch with a career-high two goals…chipped in four assists to rank third on the team for the category…notched tallies against Mercyhurst and Slippery Rock…had six shots on goal…named to the 2013 NFHCA/Gladiator by SGI Division II National Academic Squad.

2011 (Sophomore): Cemented position as a defensive standout in the PSAC…earned All-PSAC Western Division First Team accolades…also named to the NFHCA Second Team All-America unit…forced many turnovers from her center back position…chipped in with five assists…assisted both goals of a 2-0 victory at West Chester…took 22 shots, including nine on goal…named to the NFHCA Division II National Academic Squad.

2010 (Freshman): Named to the All-PSAC Western Division Second Team squad at midfielder after marvelous debut season…started all 23 games…excelled defensively…scored lone goal of season in opener against Southern Connecticut State…totaled five assists…provided assists against Saint Michael’s, Seton Hill and Mercyhurst…fired eight shots on goal…named to the NFHCA Division II National Academic Squad.

Shippensburg Area Senior High School: Was an integral member of the Greyhounds as a four-year letterwinner under head coach Lynne Diehl…named a Mid-Penn First Team All Star as a junior and senior…received First Team All-State honors as a senior…voted the VFW’s Offensive MVP as a junior and senior…picked as the VFW’s Defensive MVP as a freshman…her squads qualified for districts three times and won the Mid-Penn Conference as a junior…competed for club team PA Mavericks, STXY under coach Chelton Hunter…also earned four varsity letters playing soccer and was a Mid-Penn First Team selection as a senior…graduated on the High Honor Roll as a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Full name is Katelynn Marie Shoop…is the daughter of Robert and Yvonne Shoop…majoring in management information systems…brother Dale graduated from Shippensburg in 2009…mother Yvonne is a 1988 graduate of Shippensburg and works in SU’s Dean of Students office…father Robert works for the SU physical plant.
