Mary Spisak has returned to her alma mater and is in her first season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Shippensburg University Field Hockey team in 2021. Her primary coaching responsibility is with the team’s forward unit.

Spisak is a two-time NCAA Division II National Champion forward who played for the Raiders from 2016-17 under former coach Bertie Landes and current coach Tara Zollinger.

In two seasons with the Raiders, Spisak played in 40 games and made 33 starts. As a senior in 2017, Spisak was named to the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Second Team after totaling 10 goals and five assists and ranking among the Top 10 scorers in the league. She scored the decisive goal in the NCAA Semifinal victory over East Stroudsburg and was named to the 2017 NCAA Division II All-Tournament Team.

Prior to her time with the Raiders, Spisak played two seasons at West Chester University, where she totaled 14 goals and 13 assists in 42 games for the Golden Rams. Overall, Spisak appeared in 82 games and made 73 starts as a collegian.

A native of Boiling Springs, Spisak earned her bachelor of arts in human communication studies from Shippensburg in 2018.
