Katie Lammando is in her third season as an assistant coach for Shippensburg University field hockey in 2025.
In 2024, Lammando helped guide SU to a No. 1 regular season ranking and a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) title. She was a key member of a Raider coaching staff that was named the 2024 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II Atlantic Region Coaching Staff of the Year.
In her first season, Lammando helped guide one of NCAA Division II's most talented attacks (fourth in NCAA Division II with 3.25 goals per game). The campaign also featured a breakout season from Emma Albee in goal (NCAA Division II-leading .821 save percentage), and resulted in trips to the PSAC Championship game and the NCAA Division II Semifinals.
Lammando arrived at Shippensburg after serving as a graduate assistant at Mercyhurst for two seasons (2021-22).
Lammando previously played as a goalkeeper for Stonehill College.
At Stonehill, she served as team captain for two and a half seasons. She was named NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week three times and was a Second Team All-Conference selection.
She was the recipient of the Presidential Merit Scholarship, a two-time member of NE10 Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll and the 2018 Athletics Community Service Award-winner.
She received her undergraduate degree from Stonehill in 2021 and earned a Master of Science degree in organizational leadership from Mercyhurst in May of 2023.
