Gail Schuyler enters her 18th season as an assistant field hockey coach at Shippensburg University in 2016, having worked alongside head coach Bertie Landes since 1999.Â

Schuyler also spent seven seasons as an assistant women’s lacrosse coach under Landes from 1999-2005.

Prior to Shippensburg, Schuyler was the athletic director at Philadelphia Biblical (Cairn) University from 1992-99. While at PBU, Schuyler served as assistant field hockey, assistant women’s basketball and assistant softball coach. She also taught classes in physical education and served as a financial aid officer.

Schuyler previously served as the dean of students at the Scotland School for Veteran’s Children and as an assistant principal in the Chambersburg Area School District.

A native of Amsterdam, N.Y., Schuyler played field hockey, basketball and softball at Philadelphia BibliÂcal where she earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education in 1988. In 1992, she received her master’s degree in athletic administration from The College of New Jersey.
