Shippensburg University Athletics

Lisa Ilaria returns for her third season as the head cheerleading instructor at Shippensburg University during the 2009-10 academic year. A seven-year coaching veteran, Ilaria was a cheerleader herself for nine years and had the honor of cheering at the Pro Bowl in Hawaii, Pennsylvania’s Big 33 game and the Cotton Bowl in Texas.

Ilaria is an AACCA safety certified coach. Her squad hosts an annual cheerleading competition with hundreds of competing cheerleaders in attendance that serves as a fund-raiser for the program. In 2008, the SU cheerleaders entered their first team competition under Ilaria took home first place.
