2016 (Sophomore): Stepped up to become anchor of SU lineup with breakout sophomore season…led SU with 21 extra-base hits and 42 RBI…finished second on team with .536 slugging percentage and .426 on-base percentage…hit 14 doubles, three triples and four home runs…was third on team with .358 batting average…led team with .381 average with runners on base…hit .411 in non-conference games…had multiple games with home run, double and three RBI (at Catawba and at Pitt Johnstown)…also hit home runs against Pitt-Johnstown and at West Chester…had 19 multi-hit games, including six three-hit games and a four-hit game at Pitt-Johnstown…led team with 12 multi-RBI games, including six three-RBI games…posted 11-game hitting streak from Feb. 28 – March 19…started team-high 28 games as the Raiders cleanup hitter…played 51 of SU’s 52 games in left field, posting a .986 fielding percentage with just one error.
 
2015 (Freshman): Started 48 of the team’s 50 games as a versatile position player for the Raiders…hit .327 with five doubles, two triples, two home runs and 20 RBI…posted a .410 on-base percentage…started 31 games in left field, 12 games at first base and four games at third base…finished with 15 multi-hit games, fourth-most on the team…recorded five straight two-hit games from March 13 – March 18…struck out just 28 times in 156 at-bats…made two errors and compiled a .986 fielding percentage…hit a home run at Bloomsburg and vs. Shepherd…finished the season on a five-game hitting streak.
 
Spring Grove High School: Earned three varsity letters for the Rockets under head coach Eric Zeigler…hit .315 with two home runs as a senior…named to the YAIAA Second Team as a junior and senior after earning YAIAA First Team honors as a sophomore…also played basketball.

About Hoiles: Full name is Dalton Christopher Hoiles…is the son of Chris and Dana Hoiles…major is human communication studies…has two brothers, Derek and Drew…his father, Chris, played baseball at Eastern Michigan University and played catcher for the Baltimore Orioles for 10 seasons.
