Sean Williamson is in his ninth season on the Shippensburg University Baseball coaching staff. The 2024 season is his sixth as the primary assistant coach after three seasons as a volunteer assistant.

In 2023, Williamson helped guide the Raiders to their most wins in five seasons (27) and an NCAA Atlantic Region Tournament berth.

Williamson has been an invaluable recruiter for the Raiders during his tenure with the team. He officially serves as the team’s recruiting coordinator.

Additionally, Williamson functions as a hitting coach for the Raiders and also provides defensive instruction to the outfielders and the team’s first basemen.

Williamson came to Shippensburg after playing and coaching at Salem International University. He played from 2010-2012 with the Tigers, compiling a .320 career batting average. Williamson was a team captain and an All-WVIAC honorable mention selection.

During his final year at Salem International, Williamson was a volunteer assistant coach for the Tigers. He was an infield and hitting coach. Williamson was also in charge of strength and conditioning for the team.

Williamson graduated from Carlisle Area High School and graduated from Salem International in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in physical education.
