Richie Rowe is in his first season as an assistant coach for the Shippensburg University baseball team in 2021. Rowe works with the Raider hitters and coaches the outfielders. He also assists the team with recruiting.

Rowe arrives at Shippensburg after two seasons as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, Geneva College. He served as the pitching coach, recruiting coordinator and junior varsity (JV) manager for the Golden Tornadoes while also instructing the outfielders and first baseman. At Geneva, Rowe was a part of the team’s largest recruiting class at the NCAA Division III level.

Rowe also has significant experience coaching in summer leagues. In 2019, Rowe was the pitching coach for the North Fork Ospreys of the Hampton’s Collegiate League. He also been a manager for the Beaver County Colt League, Beaver Falls American Legion and the BCCL All Stars.

As a collegian, Rowe was a four-year starter as a pitcher and outfielder at Geneva who served as a senior captain. As a senior, Rowe led the team with a 5-3 record, recording 41 strikeouts in 40.2 innings pitched.

A native of Beaver Falls, Rowe was a senior captain at Blackhawk High School. He was a part of two Cougar teams that played in two WPIAL Championships, including one title.
