Nick Spangler is in his second season as an assistant coach for the Shippensburg University baseball team in 2024.
Spangler, a former All-PSAC infielder for the Raiders, oversees the team’s infield defense.
In 2023, Spangler helped guide the Raiders to their most wins since the 2018 season –
Spangler’s senior season – and an NCAA Atlantic Region Tournament berth.
Spangler, a 2018 Ship grad, boasts a .309 career batting average and a .380 on base percentage for the Raiders, as well as a .971 career fielding percentage as a middle infielder.
A native of Spring Grove, Spangler is a former All-State player for the Rockets of Spring Grove Area High School.
