Kevin Scholly, the 2010 team captain, returns to the Raider coaching staff for his third season as an instructor. Scholly is a valuable hitting instructor and works with the infielders while fulfilling the role as the team’s primary first-base coach.

During a four-year career with the Red Raiders, Scholly hit .263 with eight home runs, 84 RBIs and 80 runs scored while primarily serving as a first baseman and a third baseman. He appeared in 168 games, made 153 starts and a .979 career fielding percentage.

Scholly was an All-PSAC Eastern Division Second Team pick at first base during his sophomore season of 2008 when the Red Raiders advanced to the Division II College World Series. That season, Scholly started 62 games - batting cleanup in all but four – while hitting .288 and posting a .414 on-base percentage. He was named to the all-tournament team at the North Atlantic Regional Championships and finished the year with just one error.

Scholly, a native of State College, graduated from Shippensburg in 2010 with a degree in finance. He is seeking his MBA at Shippensburg while working at Letterkenny Army Depot.
